VLSIDesign
Design the chips of tomorrow
About the program
Learn how digital chips are designed and verified. You will build electronics and programming foundations in C and C++, write RTL in Verilog, implement designs on FPGA, and verify them with SystemVerilog and UVM, along with on-chip protocols and Python scripting for EDA automation.
What you will learn
- Design combinational and sequential circuits
- Write RTL in Verilog, including FSMs
- Implement and debug designs on FPGA with VIO and ILA
- Verify designs with SystemVerilog
- Build UVM testbenches
- Verify UART, SPI, I2C and AXI4, and automate with Python
Who it is for
- ECE and EEE students
- Graduates targeting semiconductor jobs
- Engineers moving into chip design or verification
Prerequisites
- Basic digital electronics
- Some programming exposure is helpful
Curriculum
10 modules · 56 topics · built around hands-on practice
- Number systems
- Logic gates
- Diode, transistor and op-amp circuits
- Adders, multiplexers, encoders and decoders
